Automazione Veneto fully acquitted for the accident in 2010
Both Massimo Baldan (the legal representative) and the company itself were acquitted without reservation.
Despite the regret for what happened to the employee in 2010, the ruling was a great success. The prosecution believed that there were serious violations of workplace safety regulations such that the legal representative was charged with very serious negligent injuries. After six years, the final hearing at the Vicenza Court attributed the incident to abnormal behavior by the employee. Automazione Veneto has nevertheless been able to learn from what happened, introducing systems aimed at going beyond what is required by safety regulations, with a view to continuous improvement and with the purpose of preventing (if possible) accidents of any kind.
