In Automazione Veneto we dedicate our expertise and commitment to the installation and testing of high-pressure water mist fire suppression systems HI-FOG®, the most appreciated technological solution in the cruise sector, as it minimizes heat damage thanks to its patented intervention system known as “Water Mist”.
The core of the system is a pre-assembled 316 L stainless steel network installed directly on the ship, designed for operating pressures between 60 – 140 bar and hydrostatically tested at 150% of the operating value. The HI-FOG® nozzles activate at 95 °C and generate droplets < 100 µm: the mist absorbs heat, displaces oxygen, and limits flame propagation, leaving surfaces and equipment almost dry.
Once the section is launched, we proceed with:
- Dry pre-commissioning, geometry verification, flushing, and blow-through with oil-free air;
- Pressure test at 210 bar followed by flushing with a demineralized water network;
- Functional testing with dynamic pressure and flow measurements in each zone, spray tests in sample compartments, and coverage demonstration (spray pattern test);
- Drafting of the “as-built” documentation.
