Amazon sorting depot – Pordenone
Automazione Veneto has been selected as the supplier for the construction of mechanical heating, cooling, and fire prevention systems, electrical and smoke detection systems, water and sanitary systems.
E-commerce giant Amazon has announced the opening of a new sorting center in Friuli, specifically in Fiume Veneto.
The new facility has increased the capacity and flexibility of its logistics network, especially in the North-East area, ensuring faster deliveries to customers and better service for businesses selling through Amazon and benefiting from its distribution network.
The new sorting center, covering an area of over 4,700 square meters, will create around 30 permanent warehouse operator jobs in the coming years.
Delivery service providers will hire more than 70 permanent drivers, who will collect parcels from the sorting center and deliver them to Amazon customers across North-East Italy.
